Guros of the Filipino Martial Arts: A Special Kali-Arnis-Escrima Workshop
This workshop will showcase the top representatives of three different systems and geographical origins now in Vancouver:
- Ikatan Kali from Vancouver, Canada with Guro Louie Lindo
- Bahala Na (Giron) Escrima from Stockton, California with Guro Brent Matsuda
- Kalis Ilustrisimo from Manila, Philippines with Guros Tom Dy Tang and Kenneth Co
Collectively they have over 100 years of experience in Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) and will come together to offer a rare training opportunity in a special four hour workshop. Few cities in the world can offer a diversity of FMA systems in an atmosphere of camaraderie and respect despite differing styles, so take advantage! All levels are welcome! Politics and egos to be checked at the door.
